\tA painting by the Venetian Renaissance artist Giorgione (1473\/74-1510) has been discovered in the Bavarian State Painting Collection in Munich, Germany. <\/p>\n

\tSince 2011, a double portrait of the young Giovanni Borgherini from Florence and his teacher, the Venetian polymath Trifone Gabrieleau, has been on display at the Green Gallery in Munich. After thorough analysis and technical investigation by art historians, three more works were discovered beneath the painted surface.<\/p>\n

\tThese efforts provide us with rare insights into the working methods of Giorgio da Castelfranco (1473\/74-1510), known as Giorgione, who despite his early death He had a major influence on the art of his time.<\/p>\n
