Taylor Swift will be the focus of a new \u201cline\u201d at London\u2019s Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), titled Taylor Swift: The Songbook Line. The exhibition, which will run from July 27 to September 8, is inspired by the 34-year-old singer-songwriter\u2019s storied career, from when she first moved to Nashville at the age of 14 to her rise to global fame. <\/p>\n
Coming after the UK leg of Swift’s “Time” tour, Taylor Swift: A Songbook Journey will take visitors on a journey through the life of the pop icon through visual culture, divided into 13 themed “stations” across the museum. Swift’s costumes, awards, musical instruments and other items will complement the V&A’s architecture and collections. Memorable outfits from Swift’s career will be on display, from the cowboy boots she wore during her country music days to the black ruffled dress she wore in the music video for her latest album’s lead single, “Fortnight.” Tortured Poets<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are delighted to be exhibiting a selection of iconic garments worn by Taylor Swift at the Victoria and Albert Museum this summer,” Kate Bailey, senior curator of theatre and performance, said in a press release. “Taylor Swift\u2019s songs, like objects, tell stories, often drawing on art, history and literature. We hope this theatrical trail at the museum will inspire curious visitors to learn more about the performer, her creativity and the objects at the Victoria and Albert Museum.\u201d<\/p>\n As well as Swift’s famous costumes, the V&A will also display storyboards and archival material from Swift’s childhood. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
