Perrotin announces a new representation relationship with Ali Banisadr, an Iranian artist based in Brooklyn known for his exquisite oil paintings. Banisadr\u2019s first solo exhibition with Perrotin will take place in Shanghai in November 2024, where the artist will exhibit his latest works for the first time. Mirror World <\/em>(2024), which the gallery will exhibit at this year\u2019s Art Basel.<\/p>\n The representation announcement is a significant step for the artist\u2019s career. In 2025, Banizad will be included in a mid-career retrospective at the Katonah Museum of Art in New York, \u201cAli Banizad: Alchemist.\u201d The exhibition will present a comprehensive survey of his work, including paintings, drawings, and prints from 2006 to the present.<\/p>\n \u201cI have been following the work of Ali Banizad for many years and I am delighted to finally have the opportunity to exhibit his work,\u201d said gallery founder Emmanuel Perrotin. \u201cHis work has an energy and power that few painters can match. I am delighted to be working with him.\u201d<\/p>\n In addition to Perrotin, Banisadr will continue to be represented by Thaddaeus Ropac, Kasmin and Victoria Miro.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
