A selection of works by artist, illustrator and graphic designer Mathieu Courbier, aka “almost free service”. Born and raised in the South of France and now living in Arles, Almost Free Services explores its world through the combination of art and design, exhibitions and commissioned works. Most of his paintings are sculpture-like, in which objects, figures and flowers become stones and heavy rocks – constructs disconnected from time. Sometimes organic and full of life, the focus is on everyday objects and details of life, which become a collection of relics with a touch of mystery and irony.
